The Holmes family was lucky enough to flee the horrible Gatlinburg forest fires that broke out in Tennessee. Rob Holmes’ home was encircled by the wildfire in the middle of the night, so he had time to only take his family and hit the road in a hurry. But then the family realized that their family pig Charles stayed there. The next morning after the fire was put out, the family came back to find their home burned to the ground… But there was one big surprise. Charles the pig could survive the deadly fire by burrowing himself in mud. He did suffer from smoke inhalation and burns but he is doing incredibly well. He is currently being treated at a local veterinarian hospital where his family comes to visit him.
