Why Apple Cider Vinegar is One of the Best Things You Can Use for Your Hair

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) has long been used as a natural hair care product to promote healthy hair in both men and woman. Did you know its acidity is close to that of natural hair?  It’s a powerful cleaning agent and a conditioner.
Raw apple cider vinegar (ACV) is loaded with nutrients. It brings back body and shine, decreases residue and clarify, can help with tangles and frizzy hair, stimulates the scalp, helps get rid of dandruff, and unclogs hair follicles.

1. Balance Your Hair’s pH

Our hair and scalp are naturally slightly acidic. Apple cider vinegar naturally contains high in acetic acid and has a pH level that is closer to that of human hair. Regular rinsing with this vinegar helps bring your scalp and hair to its suitable acidity, especially if your hair is very oily.

2. Antibacterial and Antifungal Properties

Apple cider vinegar contains antifungal properties. Thus, it inhibits the growth of harmful fungi in your scalp. The removal of these fungi helps with dryness of the scalp. It also decreases the production of bacteria due to its anti-bacterial properties.

3. Gets Rid of Dandruff

Apple cider vinegar is loaded with natural probiotics, which makes it antibacterial and anti-inflammatory in nature.  So its use kills the bacteria and fungus that cause dandruff.

4. Detangle

Apple cider vinegar is very effective at detangling your hair because it’s natural acidity helps to smoothen the cuticle.

6. Reduce Frizz

Frizzy hair is caused by lifted cuticles on the hair.  Apple cider vinegar helps smoothen down the cuticles.

7. Add Shine

Rinsing your hair with apple cider vinegar helps to seal the hair cuticle. As a result, light is reflected off the hair, making it smoother, softer and shinier.

8. Stimulate Hair Growth & Prevent Hair Loss

Apple cider vinegar improves blood circulation to the hair follicles, which promotes hair growth and prevents loss.

9. Prevent Split Ends & Breakage

Apple cider vinegar helps build stronger strands that lead to a reduction in split ends and breakage.
