Man Sends Nude Photos Of Ex-Wife To Her Co-Workers Via Fake Facebook Account

A Florida man is under arrest after police say he used “revenge porn” to get back at his estranged ex-wife. Tampa NBC affiliate WFLA reports 37-year-old Joshua Persaud of Lake Wales allegedly sent 11 sexually graphic images of his wife to five of her male co-workers. He’s now been charged with 11 counts of sexual cyber harassment.
The ex-wife, whose name has been withheld, told police she had sent Persaud nude photographs of herself during the course of their marriage. The couple separated last January and is now in the process of getting a divorce.
In early May, five of the woman’s male co-workers received a new Facebook friend request from her, even though she already had a profile on the social media app. Soon after accepting the friend request, nude photos of her were sent to their Facebook messenger inboxes. They immediately notified the woman, who contacted police.
When police interviewed Persaud, he allegedly acknowledged having sexually graphic images of his ex, yet denied sharing them with anyone. However, when police told him about the images being sent to her co-workers via Facebook, reports say he immediately responded with “well she did that too, she sent pictures of me to my boss and tried to get me fired!” Police determined Persaud and the wife were the only two people in possession of the nude photographs, and that he allegedly created the fake Facebook profile specifically to distribute the photos and embarrass his former flame.
According to jail records obtained by the Palm Beach Post, Persaud has four prior arrests, including charges for false imprisonment and aggravated battery. Of the 11 photographs he allegedly shared, each one carries with it a charge for sexual cyber harassment.
